I spent the night at a scenic overlook just past Boulder, Utah, an Anasazi Indian Village. At sunrise I was shooting a panorama with my iPhone when this guy drives in and sets up a tripod. Finished with my panos, I get my tripod and camera and start shooting. We exchaged pleasantries and he told me he had been coming here for 20 years and it never failed to amaze him. He then told me about gorgeous Burr Trail Road a bit to the west. I was going east and when I left I decided that if this guy has been coming here 20 years and says Burr Trail Road is gorgeous I gotta go. This abandoned store was the beginning of Burr Trail. It was a gorgeous drive as promised but time an a low gas tank forced me to turn around after a couple of miles and head east again. Gotta go back! BTW, Hells Backbone Grill is a dynamite restaurant out here in the middle of nowhere!
