The Mission San Xavier del Bac, White Dove of the Desert, is a Catholic Mission founded by Father Eusebio Kino in 1692. Construction began in 1783 and completed in 1797. It is the oldest intact European structure in Arizona and is filled with original statuary and paintings and is still serving the religious needs of its parishioners.
