Ford Boyce Motometer

Ford Boyce Motometer

This winged temperature guage, 1912-1930, is actually two aftermarket items, a winged radiator cap and a Boyce Motometer temperature guage. Early water cooled engines were not pressurized and would overheat easily. The Boyce Motometer allowed the driver to see the condition of their engine, abliet not always soon enough to prevent damage.
