The limestone ranch house on the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve was built in 1881 by Stephen & Louisa Jones. They amassed 7,000 acres but only owned it for 10 years. In that time they built a huge barn and 6 other buildings as well as over 30 miles of stone fence.
