Mount Drum
On a recent trip to Alaska to visit my daughter and her family.
Mount Drum,12,011 feet and 37 miles away, as seen from the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Visitor Center just past Glennallen, Alaska.
In 1980 the 13.2-million acre national park became the largest in the US.
Spanning 24 million acres, the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, combined with Canada's Kluane National Park, Glacier Bay National Park and Tatshenshini-Aksej Provincial Park comprise the largest protected area in the world.
